Where To Get Interest On Your Money

By Sheila Korter

During hard economic times, it is best to save as much money as possible. One reason is that if you concentrate on saving, you will be able to prevent yourself from spending too much. Another advantage of putting your money in the bank is that you are able to earn a passive interest income. This means that you earn income without doing anything.

A passive income is possible through the interest you earn from the money you have deposited. If you are serious about saving money and earning a continuing income through bank deposits, you should consider some important factors. The first thing you should do is to study the money market and certificate of deposit rates to understand what they pay.

A money market account is an account that yields interest and also allows the depositer to withdraw funds with short notice or no notice at all. Every bank that offers an account of this type has its own rates and terms and conditions. It is advisable to choose the money market rate that does not only offer high interest rates but also has reasonable terms and conditions that are suitable to your needs and prevailing circumstances.

On the other hand, a CD is a kind of deposit that pays a higher interest rate but in return for this higher rate, imposes more restrictions. Typically you cannot withdraw funds for an established period of time without incurring a penalty. For this reason, CD's are often referred to as time deposits. The philosophy behind a certificate of deposit is that a depositor earns a higher interest rate as because the depositor is prevented from withdrawing the funds that he or she deposited within the agreed duration of time.

The two important factors that you should consider in making a choice between a money market or a CD are the interest rates and the terms. If you get a high interest rate, it does not necessarily mean that it is the best deal. It is wise to make sure you are loaning the money to the bank for the right amount of time and won't need the money sooner. If you were to get a great interest rate but then have to incur penalties because you needed the money sooner than you though, it would defeat the whole purpose of making the investment. - 23226

Forex Trading Signals - What To Expect

By Howard Dwinger

When it comes to using forex signals, it's important that you know that there are some intelligent equations that are used to trade the forex market. When done correctly, they can really increase profits.

Some factors are needed to be taken into account in creating the signals. One method is to buy a new 1 month high and retain it until it comes to a month Low. Thereafter the aforesaid occurrence, strike away the long placement, then be with the short until it reaches a month peak or low.

Trading successfully like this, is completely achievable once you know how to fine tune the forex signals. It takes some time, but if you are willing to put forth the effort that is needed, there is no reason you can't use it.

This particular idea was created by Richard Donchian back in the seventies, and has been utilized by many successful traders who have been generating profits in both long and short term markets.

The method has background of superior market logics as it is a cash cow. It is based on market a principle that is forex market gains momentum in the long run and it continues until it gets busted.

When you are looking at the forex market, take a look at a 1 month chart. It's really quite amazing just by looking at this chart how you can spot the long term trend. Once you're able to see it, the idea becomes automatic. Then after a little experimenting, there is not reason why can't gain money from it.

Nowadays, traders seem to want to over complicate trading. They prefer to trade with complex equations, because they somehow feel like they are getting a deeper understanding of the market, which is just simply incorrect.

It is back up by forex market principles. As the market will continue to move, the signal gotten using this principles will keep on earning money for you in. - 23226

When It Comes to Stock Trading Timing is Everything

By Michael Swanson

There are many experts and books telling you how to pick stocks. You can turn on the TV and you are going to get a stock recommendation if you watch financial news. But most people never tell you when to buy or sell.

That is where technical analysis can come in. Technical analysis cannot tell you if a stock is cheap or expensive based on fundamentals, but it can tell you when you should buy and sell, which is just as important. Technical analysis is all about using price action to time your entry and exit points.

There are three key things you need to know when it comes to charts and technical analysis. First you must understand that the price of a stock is already factoring in the future. A stock is high because people think the future is good and low when they think it is bad. So if you want to make money based on that you are trying to outsmart the entire world.

The second principle is that asset prices move in trends. Predictable trends are essential to the success of technical analysis, because they enable traders to profit by buying assets when the price is rising, or as the popular saying goes, "the trend is your friend." Borrowing from Newton's Law of motion, technical analysis asserts that trends in motion tend to remain in motion unless acted upon by another force.

The reason why technical analysis works is because investors will never change. Throughout history they have been driven by fear and greed and always will be. There always will be people who buy at tops and sell at bottoms and you just need to know the patterns that show you when important turning points are at hand.

The important thing is to be able to tell when a price movement represents an important pattern or is just noise you need to ignore. To do that you just need to do some studying and learn the patterns. Most people don't do that and just chase fluctuations and lose money.

This requires a degree of skill, judgment, and interpretation. Mechanical trading systems attempt to do away with subjectivity by basing investment decisions on mathematical indicators calculated with the variables of price and volume.

It is all about learning and planning. You do those two things and you can make money in the stock market. Most investors don't and that is why most investors don't make a whole lot of money in the stock market or are just at average. You can do better if you just take action for yourself. - 23226

What Are You Looking For In A Forex Course?

By John Templeton

If you are thinking about purchasing a forex trading course, you definitely have a seemingly infinite amount of choices to pick from. The are tons of courses from every particular kind of trader. It doesnt matter if you like to scalp the market, and buy or sell several times a day, or are a more long term position trader.

The real important thing you should be asking is what am I actually going to learn if I were to purchase this course? Are you just going to get the same generic rhetoric that you normally get in more forex communities or is this course really going to help me to accomplish my dream of making a living in the forex market by having a deeper understanding of it.

I think youll find that the problem at the present time is that most forex trading courses arent very good at explaining the underlying reasons why price movements act the way that they do. In fact most courses only give you the generic piece of advice and tell you to blast your charts with indicators.

I don't even know where to begin with what's wrong with this.

How about we start with the obvious, which is indicators are all lagging. If you don't know what this means, all you are doing is trading off of what has already happened to the market, now what will happen to the market.

Also, not to be blunt, but what in the world are these indicators actually telling you? Look at the stochastics indicator. With this indicator, you are supposed to know whether the market is overbought or oversold.

My question to you is that do you honestly think that most traders have the slightest idea what it would mean for a currency to be either overbought or oversold? I highly doubt it! What most traders see in a stochastics indicator is just a bunch of random and arbitrary colors and lines.

So back to the original question: What exactly are you learning from the course. - 23226

What Is A MACD Divergence?

By Ahmad Hassam

Understanding and interpreting a MACD divergence can be very helpful in your trading. You may ask what does a MACD Divergence means. Just that the current price trend is running out of steam and soon may reverse direction. Price reversal may not happen right away. But a MACD Divergence is a powerful hint that the market is changing direction. It is easy to spot MACD crossovers and dramatic rises but not so a MACD divergence. Spotting a MACD divergence correctly will only come after practice.

What you are looking for is when the price action and MACD do not agree. For example, if the price is making a series of higher highs and MACD is making a series of lower lows, something is wrong between the two.

Most probably the traders are getting nervous and slowly fading out of their trades. MACD divergence is seen as a sign that fewer and fewer traders are in the trend. No one is trading against the trend and yet fewer and fewer traders are in the trend.

The only traders in the trend are nervous and jittery. They want to exit. Most of them are likely to exit their trade at the first sign of trouble. As soon as the bears muster up enough guts to short. MACD is diverging from the bullish trend. The bulls will exit and the bears will take over.

This is exactly why MACD is so powerful. It takes time to setup but when it works, it often works well. There are two powerful keys in locating times when MACD divergence is likely to represent a reversal in price.

Suppose the price action is at the double tops or double bottoms. MACD divergence can be powerful. You spot MACD divergence at this point. This is known as Exhaustion Pullback. You are making your trading plan based on the bounce/reversal or breakout of the support and resistance (S&R).

You should trade now based on rejection reversal. This is a sign that the price action is running out of steam. This indicates that there are not enough committed traders to break the support and resistance (S&R).

MACD is also used as an overbought/ oversold indicator or oscillator. Suppose you see that it has reached its overbought/ oversold range. The price action is turning normal. This is a signal that you should avoid trading at this time.

Dont think that it is overbought and everyone is buying. Dont confuse the overbought/ oversold MACD zones as trade opportunities. However, when the price reaches its extreme, you will see price exhaust and the MACD line drop back into normal zone.

It is also important to note that divergence can not only be found on the MACD line and the signal line, it can also be found on the histogram. These two situations along with your other technical indicators can provide excellent trading opportunities. - 23226
